"Dan, wait!" - Amanda trying to warn Dan

Amanda Highborn (voiced by Britt Irvin) is the tritagonist of "Packages from Planet X."

Personality[]

Amanda is incredibly prone to good luck and fortune has just about everything going for her. She is extremely attractive, she is the most popular girl at her school and she has an exceedingly high IQ, can outwit anyone and anything, has more friends than anyone, always gets her way, and is someone who every girl wants to be. You wouldn't be surprised at the amount of people who are jealous of her.

She may have a ton of things going for her, but that doesn't mean she won't strive to reach goals that she believes are worth achieving. Amanda has been known for her determination and utter resistance to distractions. She can use her many skills and abilities to overcome any obstacle standing in her path, no matter how big it is.

One of the most prominent parts of Amanda's personality is her vast intellect. She can make literally everyone around her feel stupid. She has never gotten anything lower than an A- and is only person who could ever get anything higher than an 11.0 GPA. It is actually unknown why she hasn't already graduated.

Her intelligence isn't just limited to school. She has also been known as a bit of a tinker and is frequently seen easily building ingenious contraptions that never fail to hold someone in awe. To put it in short, Amanda's mental capacity and brainpower is unparalleled.

Amanda has an uncle named Rory. He kept a journal about the packages and at sometime before his disappearance, gave the journal to her. Her Uncle Rory's disappearance has made Amanda suspicious about everyone in Iron Bay (with the exceptions of her family and friends) being aliens and made her determined to find Rory. It's well known that her mother is obsessed with shoes and tries to make her a pageant girl. She was responsible for CuRT being damaged and feels guilty for whenever she makes a mistake.

Amanda can get very angry and hot-tempered at times, though she does care a lot about her friends.

Appearance[]

Amanda is a slender and tall girl with peach skin, orange hair that is usually tied into a ponytail and green eyes. She generally wears a blue dress with a lime green belt, black skinny jeans, and brown boots. During her birthday in Birthday Bounty, she wears her hair down in loose waves and a green dress. During Halloween in Truth or Scare, she wore a costume depicting a mad scientist called the Tinkler, which consists of a white lab coat worn over her blue dress and a head tank bundled with a black wig filled with some fake slime inside the tank with a fake brain.

Relationships[]

Dan Zembrosky (good friend)[]

Dan and Amanda have a slightly complicated relationship. Amanda is studious, intelligent, down to earth, a bit cold, but high strung and bossy at times, while Dan is cheerful, childish, laid-back and energetic. Due to their differences, combined with both Amanda's occasional temper and Dan's irresponsibility in dealing with the painful package downsides, the two often butt heads with one other, with some of their fights leading them to almost losing their friendship. Dan is also a bit jealous of Amanda due to her being an honor student instead of him. Despite all this, Dan and Amanda remain good friends (and possible crushes) and they still care for each other and will always make up from their mistakes at the end.

Troll Moko (close friend)[]

Amanda and Troll have a rather healthy relationship. Despite being extremely similar to Dan in terms of personality, Troll is more mature and respects Amanda’s intelligence, and he'll sometimes even take her advice more than Dan. Because of this, Amanda respects Troll’s enthusiasm and doesn't usually fight with him, but whenever they have a small fallout, they make up pretty quickly. However, Amanda and Troll, along with Dan, almost lost their friendship in Crash Course when they had opposing views over how to beat Copernicus to an incoming package he re-routed using a gigantic roof, but they mended it when they put their differences aside and worked together to save the day.

CuRT[]

Amanda was responsible for CuRT's damage as she kicked him in the head due to being scared of him the first time they met, though she feels bad about what she‘s done to him.

Trivia[]

  • She is a genius.
  • She is unbelievably smart, pretty, popular, talented, stylish person who has ever lived.
  • She is able to defend herself by using a combination of karate and self-defense combat skills.
  • In the episode A Night at West Iron High, it was revealed and shown that Amanda is afraid of dolls.
  • In the episode Return to Sender: Part 2, it was revealed that Amanda used to take anger management classes when she was a little kid.
  • Amanda happens to be the one member of the trio who aged following her birthday episode. There may be a possibility in which she ended up at the age of 18 in the future.
  • While Amanda has shown a tiny bit of affection for Dan, it’s possibly hinted (though never mentioned) in the some episodes that Amanda could possibly have an even bigger crush on Troll as evidenced by the following reasons.
    • As the series progressed, Troll began to take the painful package downsides more seriously than Dan.
      • This could possibly explain the reason why Amanda respects Troll’s enthusiasm and is more patient with him, unlike with Dan.
    • As seen in a flashback from Birthday Bounty, Troll always remembers to get a gift for Amanda's birthday (even if he's prone to cause a scene at the party).
    • The two did share fist bumps in both Bad Hair Day and Do Over Dan.
    • In Truth or Scare, it was shown that Amanda actually loved Troll's inflatable Spiny the Smilin' Blowfish Halloween costume a lot more than Dan's Prankenstien costume, despite the latter's costume being more spooky.
      • This could possibly explain why Amanda took the honors in using Troll to not only free him from his alien control, but also to defend both herself and Dan from both Copernicus and Calimary by using her combination of self-defense combat skills.
    • Amanda was impressed by Troll's athleticism in Off Road Rage.
    • In For Whom the Bell Trolls, when Troll cried in tears after the Planet X-press watch got stuck to his wrist and threatened to send him to Planet X with no return trip, Amanda gave him some comfort to cheer up his sadness.
    • In What Goes Down Must Come Up, Amanda was deeply saddened by Troll's apparent death after he was left stranded on the Weather Whacker airborne blimp in a powerline explosion, only to be relived with joy when Troll reveals himself to have survived the accident after bunch of birds aborted him from the blimp prior to the explosion.
